Junta Leaders OK Use of Military to Detain Protesters

by Scott Creighton Found two sources on this. Sounds more like they are openly warning the people of Egypt rather than embarking on some new tactic since they have arrested many protesters already. But it is interesting to note that both countries who have floated Egypt a lot of money since the coup have brutal dictatorships much like what is being re-created in Egypt. In the modern world, the biggest threat to any neo-liberal country is it?s own people and that is why we will all see the use of a nation?s Military turned against it?s own people. It?s not a new idea. It?s why t he Posse Comitatus Act was passed in 1878. That?s why Bush urged congress to allow an exception in Posse Comitatus back in 2006 to allow the Military to ?restore order? in the event of ? natural disaster, terrorist attack or incident, or other condition?. He knew what was coming. That change to the Insurrection Act was repealed in 2008 but ?luckily? Obama did basically the same thing with the NDAA 2012. Egypt?s interim President Adli Mansour has given the interim Prime Minister Hazem el-Beblawi the power to grant the army the right to arrest civilians .? Press TV ?
