As Obama campaigns, jobs numbers sure to set tone

(AP) ? President Barack Obama is going after votes over a little eggs and grits.

Obama began Day Two of a bus tour in Ohio and Pennsylvania by joining breakfast diners at Ann's Place. He took up a stool and started to chat up locals shortly before government officials back in Washington released disappointing employment figures that showed only about 80,000 jobs created in June and a jobless rate that remains at 8.2 percent.

Obama is working in a series of unannounced stops on his tour to have more personal moments with voters four months before election day. He was to address the new jobs numbers later in the morning at a school event in Ohio.
